Common failure causes and use methods of contact shrapnel

Generally, the service life of contact shrapnel is relatively long, and the service life of some contact shrapnel can reach up to 1 million times. What are the causes of contact fragment failure? Let’s share it with you
The common failure conditions of contact shrapnel are as follows:
Overtravel: for example, press the shrapnel by hand, and the stroke is uncontrollable, which may lead to overtravel and damage the shrapnel.
Overpressure: for example, press the shrapnel by hand, the pressure is uncontrollable, and the load may exceed the normal preset pressure value of the shrapnel, which may lead to over travel and damage the shrapnel.
Excessive crush: use sharp objects or nails to cause shrapnel scratches.
The contact is too large: the contact design is unreasonable, which leads to the contact not working well with the shrapnel, which affects the normal use of the shrapnel.
Contact surface imbalance of shrapnel: the periphery of shrapnel is unbalanced.
Poor contact: install shrapnel reasonably, and pay attention to reserve space for shrapnel.
Resistance value: the resistance value of shrapnel is relatively fixed, such as stainless steel less than 100 ohm, nickel plating less than 1 ohm, gold plating less than 0.1 ohm.
When using contact shrapnel, pay attention to reasonable use, refer to the following methods:
Contact shrapnel contact: the size must be used with the shrapnel, or the size of the contact should be selected with the shrapnel, so as to avoid excessive crushing of the shrapnel.
Overpressure: all shrapnel have a preset positive pressure value. If the pressure is too high, it will cause damage to the shrapnel.
Overtravel: most of the shrapnel are designed according to the plane design, and the special models are designed according to the requirements of customers, and the contact point can be lower than the placing surface.
