Toyota buys again! Increase the competitiveness of electrified products.

On July 31st, Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp. and BlueE Nexus Announced that they will work together to enhance the competitiveness of electrification-related products and enhance the sales structure, including providing technical support and services to customers, in preparation for the accelerated popularity of electric vehicles.
Since its inception in April 2019, BluE Nexus has been involved in the development and sale of the necessary electric drive modules for electric vehicles, as well as providing control calibration services for such modules. At the same time, Toyota has taken advantage of its role as a vehicle manufacturer by selling its vehicle powertrans, such as the Toyota Hybrid System, to other companies.
Recognizing that electric vehicles would be accelerated in the future, Toyota and Blue Nexus decided to work together and leverage their core competencies, namely, Toyota’s control calibration technology for engines, batteries and other key peripherals, as well as BlueE Nexus’ superior electric drive modules, to meet the needs of all types of customers around the world.
Toyota will also invest in Blue Nexus for a 10 per cent stake in the latter to achieve this goal. In the future, the two companies will work together to build a sales structure that will allow the two companies to leverage each other’s core competencies, with BlueE Nexus as the primary seller of the electrification system and Toyota providing technical support.
Toyota and Blue Nexus plan to increase their competitiveness in electrification systems, contribute to the further application of electric vehicles, and ultimately achieve a sustainable society.
