Turkey introduced the first Schuler servo multi-station press
AK-PRES Automotive was established in 1990 and is a component supplier under Küçükoğlu Holding. The Turkish company’s factories in Sakarya and Bursa have a total area of more than 50,000 m² and provide formed and welded parts to major automobile manufacturers around the world. AK-PRES is also one of the first 1000 industrial organizations in Turkey, committed to achieving sustainable growth and continuous development by investing in the latest technologies in the automotive industry. The 1,600-ton equipment (including automation equipment) that AK-PRES ordered from Schuler is Schuler’s first servo multi-station press exported to Turkey.
TSD servo press is very suitable for processing high-strength steel, which is also a common material for lightweight auto parts. With the help of programmable time/motion curve and in-mold intermittent function, it can perfectly integrate processes such as in-mold welding and in-mold laser cutting.
The TSD 1600 press ordered by AK-PRES is equipped with a 6100 mm long and 2500 mm wide worktable with a production cycle of 40 strokes per minute (depending on the programmed stroke height and movement curve). In addition, in the pendulum mode, it can flexibly adjust the press speed and die distance.
Schuler’s TSD series presses can process a variety of parts and materials, including simple stamping parts and complex structural parts. Using the curve generator in the user interface, you can precisely adjust the slider motion curve and automation parameters to ensure the high reliability of the process flow. And through the handheld operation panel and intelligent mold change system, semi-automatic or fully automatic mold change operations can be completed, which shortens the setup and mold change time.
